NEWS CENTER Maine, TEGNA's NBC stations based in Portland and Bangor, Maine, has a part-time opening for news anchor based in the Portland newsroom. JOB SUMMARY: We want a professional and personable new presenter. The right journalist is a smart, relentless news hound with a heart. Someone who sets aside bias and follows the facts. You must be able to work seamlessly with newscast producers and field reporters for a statewide audience. An understanding and mastery of the intrinsic connection between broadcast, stream and Social Media platforms while fluidly moving between them before and sometimes during a newscast. Daily Expecations Straight forward, no nonsense, but engaging newscast delivery. Bringing to every script each day a deep knowledge of Maine, its history, culture, people, and politics. Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.
