Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an Invoicing / Accounting Specialist to join their team! This position is located in Chesterfield, Missouri.
Duties:
- Process 40–60 invoices per month, aligned to a single capital project
- Review and validate vendor invoices against supporting documentation
- Confirm scope completion versus invoiced amounts
- Investigate and resolve invoice issues, including vendor process compliance and SAP discrepancies
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and accruals as needed
- Partner with project managers, vendors, and site contacts to ensure smooth and timely payments
- Maintain and update Excel-based invoice tracker
- Identify issues and make sound business decisions to avoid unnecessary delays
- Contribute to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where timely vendor payments are essential to project success
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with general experience in Accounting and/or Finance
- Familiarity with balance sheets and accruals
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in SAP, including invoice troubleshooting
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data tracking)
- Proven ability to prioritize material issues and exercise sound business judgment
- Comfortable working in demanding, high-volume environments and meeting strict deadlines
- Assertive communication style with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the tenacity to track down and resolve issues
- Experience with capital projects or Capex accounting
- Knowledge of asset creation and depreciation schedules in SAP

The approximate pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $34.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
