Job Title: Event Management Program Coordinator

Location: New York, NY, 10004 (Onsite)

Duration: 06+ Months Contract (Possible extension)

Pay Range: $35/hr. - $37.03/hr.

Job Description:

  • This role will support the management of the Tech Philanthropy programs across the Americas region. The Program Coordinator will support the regional Tech Philanthropy Program Lead in developing engaging programs and opportunities for the employees to give back their technical skills.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of developing, planning and implementing a variety of programs, events and communications. They will be results-driven and approach tasks with enthusiasm, creativity and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • The primary focus for this role is to support volunteer sourcing, event management and program operations.
  • We are looking for a candidate from a project and event management background who can enable Americas volunteering and philanthropy initiatives end to end.

The following activities are in scope for this role:

Program Coordination and Execution

  • Overseeing the end-to-end program coordination of Tech Philanthropy programs in the region (including but not limited to: volunteer sourcing and training, nonprofit sourcing, communications, status reporting, stakeholder management).
  • Support tracking activity and provide metrics related to the success of Tech Philanthropy programs

Event Management, Logistics & Coordination

  • Coordinating a portfolio of initiatives working with multiple stakeholders and regions
  • Working with multiple internal support teams such as Corporate Services, IT, Multimedia, Legal, Corporate Security and communications/ marketing to ensure smooth flow of events
  • Processing invoices, sourcing and shipping materials, writing communications, tracking the budget, etc. in relation to our events and programs
  • Helping to coordinate local hands-on volunteering events as part of the firmwide global volunteer month.
  • Syncing up with HR on recruitment events and providing event logistical support as needed.
  • Team player with experience collaborating with global, virtual teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Overall relevant work experience of about 3 to 5 years
  • Articulate / excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Proven copywriting and proof-reading skills
  • Proven project coordination, communications and event management expertise with ability to self-organize workload & set priorities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to work on sensitive issues with diverse groups
  • Good presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and negotiate ideas with senior management
  • Excellent teamworking skills, including successful participation with global and regional counterparts.
  • Tools / Office Products:-MS Office, PowerPoint and Visio-SharePoint (or similar tool)-JIVE (or similar tool)-Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator-/ Zoom
