As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in driving new business growth, retaining renewals, and ensuring the overall profitability of your designated underwriting territory. You will work closely with our agency partners to meet their needs while aligning with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assessing new business and renewal submissions, making decisions on acceptance or rejection based on exposure verification and loss control measures.
- Analyzing profitability and loss ratios within your territory to establish effective pricing strategies.
- Quoting and issuing endorsements that exceed the authority of team members.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with agents and their staff, promptly addressing inquiries, requests, and issues.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in insurance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in applying mathematical functions to make projections and identify and analyze issues.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Strong ability to interpret written, oral, and visual instructions.
