Primary Function

We are looking for a  Training Coordinator to support our training function. This person will be primarily responsible for teaching and guiding new hires during their onboarding period to ensure successful comprehension of production skills. Support will be primarily focused on our assembly-lines, then where needed by new projects implementation. Additional responsibilities include ensuring required safety classes are scheduled and attendance tracked for compliance. Our Trainer is also responsible for continued development of team member’s job knowledge and skill sets in training them on required skills needed for a specific role requested by supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Train new employees on main production skills, work sequence, safe work practices & quality standards required for their initial position.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through observation and shadowing.
  • Conduct follow-ups to verify progression and development of employees once release on the production floor and gather feedback on the quality of training from trainees.
  • Provide refresher/targeted training to employees when requested by supervisor and retrain low-performing employees on specific skills when demanded.
  • Make recommendations to Supervisors & HR regarding training needs, progress, and concerns.
  • Track employee training participation and progress (attendance sheets, tests, trainee lists, etc.).
  • Facilitate required safety in-person training and monitor attendance.
  • Support on-the-job training functions in assembly area.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed. This role reports to the HR Supervisor, and assistance with HR projects/tasks may be required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of work experience in training or related experience
  • Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong communication & excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner
  • Able to work productively and independently
  • Leadership skills such as but not limited to encouraging others and inspiring good work
  • A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and engaging in problem solving
