🚀 Technical Documentation Specialist

A well-established and leading manufacturing company in the aviation and marine industry is seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to support its Engineering Services team. This is a key opportunity for a detail-oriented documentation professional to work at the heart of a fast-paced, innovative production environment.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience managing technical documentation within a manufacturing setting , including the creation and maintenance of engineering technical manuals, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and production documentation . This role requires a high degree of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed technical manuals and supporting engineering documentation
• Manage document control processes, including Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and production records
• Create, update, and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) using ERP software (SyteLine experience preferred)
• Maintain master data within internal systems to ensure consistency and integrity
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing teams to coordinate documentation accuracy
• Support special projects aimed at improving document workflows and operational efficiency
• Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements

🛠 Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with technical documentation in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Demonstrated expertise with engineering technical manuals, ECNs, and production documentation
• Strong understanding of BOM structure and document control processes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly prints, and parts lists
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) and Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator)
• ERP system experience required; SyteLine knowledge strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment

🎓 Education

• Associate’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in technical writing, engineering, or a related field
• Certifications in document control, technical communication, or systems like SyteLine are a plus
