Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Staff/Senior Accountant to join our team in Katy, Texas. This role involves preparing and filing individual and business federal tax returns, conducting account analyses, and providing strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in public accounting, be a CPA candidate or certified, and possess strong proficiency in financial software.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct detailed account analyses to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Perform financial analyses to evaluate the impact of tax strategies on business performance.
• Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks and CCH Tax, to streamline processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with coursework in individual and business tax preferred.
• 2-5 years of proven experience in tax preparation within a public accounting firm or a similar role.
• Proficiency in financial software applications, including QuickBooks and MS Office.
• CPA certification, CPA eligibility, or Enrolled Agent status is highly preferred.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
