Job Description

A nonprofit organization in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a promising opportunity at one of their schools in Queens. In this role, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for help children with developmental disabilities to access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities.

Responsibilities:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for:

• Providing the best possible quality care to all students
• Evaluating and treating students with disabilities
• Maintaining daily progress and attendance records
• Writing progress reports
• Attending IEP meeting
• Recommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technology
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Speech Language Pathology experience (New graduates are encourage to apply!)
• Bachelor's Degree
• NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• TSSLD certification
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
