Job Description
The position will be working with a team responsible for implementing key financial models, including interest rate, housing, credit risk, etc. Besides excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Python and SQL experiences are required for data analysis. Mortgage industry experience is highly desirable. Passing CFA or FRM exams is preferred as well.
Job Duty:
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to be implemented in the financial forecasting engine
- Participate in the data preparation, code development, and reporting to support baseline and ad hoc analytics
- Provide timely, relevant, robust analyses to support business decisions
- Contribute to automating processes related to the implementation of various methods and models in the Forecasting Engine
- Collaborate with team members and interact across organizational lines to meet business objectives
- Follow appropriate controls and standards established to maintain and create documentation for processes & reports
- Analyze / explain results, review trends, and perform sensitivity analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, data analytics or a related quantitative field,
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming and/or data analysis languages such as SQL, Python
- Familiar with Unix/Linux shell scripting
- Experience working with large data sets and relational databases
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience and ability to organize cross-department meetings to collect business requirements and present project status.
- Mortgage industry experience preferred but not required
- Pass CFA / FRM exams preferred
