Client is looking for a Senior Accountant.

5 days a week on-site in Delray Beach

Perm - Pay $90,000 - $100,000 dependent on experience.

MUST HAVE:

- CPA

- Experience in Real Estate

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for daily general accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to journal entries, financial reporting, account reconciliations and audit support. This position will require an individual who is well organized and analytical.

Job Functions

• Plan and execute to meet monthly deadlines for month-end closing of financial statements.
• Prepare and record journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple accounts and multiple entities by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Prepare and provide analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Identify and review variances in account reconciliations. Work with peers and other departments to resolve and escalate to Accounting Manager as necessary; offer ideas for resolution to correct exceptions and prevent recurrence of issues going forward.
• Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
• Work closely with the accounting team and other departments throughout the organization.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned area of responsibility.
• Collaborate on ad-hoc or recurring project teams to prepare various analysis for enhancement of the business.
• Prepare and provide analysis for leases and owner payments. Identify and propose solutions to increase effectiveness of processes and procedures.

Working Conditions And Physical Demands

Position will work directly from the corporate office with minimum travel.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required - CPA candidate preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience required, preferably in a related industry such as real estate, leasing, or telecommunications.
• Position requires the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of accounting practices, procedures and regulations governing accounting practices
• Experience working with NetSuite or similar accounting system preferred.
• Highly competent user of Excel and proficient with other MS Office suite products
• Experience with lease accounting is a plus.
• Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team.
