Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team.

Northeast Remsco Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator based in New Jersey.

The Safety Coordinator will be supporting heavy civil construction operations across multiple project sites. This position is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting inspections, and coordinating site safety efforts with field staff, the project Owners and Subcontractors. Must be willing to travel to jobsites in NJ, NY, Baltimore, & Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections and safety audits.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain OSHA and company-required documentation.
  • Support project teams with hazard analysis and safety planning.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of safety experience in heavy construction.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 510 and/or CHST equivalent a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel locally to multiple jobsites as needed.
