Position: Project Technician

Location: onsite in San Antonio, TX 78232

Duration: Salaried/FTE

Salary: $50,000-58,000/year (depending on experience)

Must Haves:

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-2+ years of information technology experience installing, troubleshooting, and configuring hardware and software
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure to include networks, servers, and workstations
• Experience working in a fast paced environment with a MSP, IT consulting company, VAR, and/or project management team supporting a variety of different deployments
• Experience in a customer facing role
• Ability to lift 25lbs

Plusses:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Relevant certifications

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a motivated Project Technician with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join a Managed Service Provider (MSP). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various projects, coordinating tasks, and providing technical support for deployments and installations across different customer sites. This position requires a blend of project coordination skills and hands-on technical expertise. Responsilbities include:

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
• Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress.
• Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Perform on-site and remote installations, configurations, and deployments of hardware and software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployments and installations.
• Provide training and support to customers on newly installed systems and solutions.
• Ensure all technical work is completed in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
