Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Director to lead the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of client programs, with a focus on pharmaceutical meetings and events. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in program management, client relations, and the nuances of live and virtual event production within the healthcare space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Oversee end-to-end program delivery for pharmaceutical clients, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction through proactive communication and strategic guidance.
  • Team Management: Lead cross-functional teams including project managers, event producers, and content developers to deliver seamless program execution.
  • Event Oversight: Direct the planning and execution of live and virtual meetings, including advisory boards, investigator meetings, symposia, and internal training events.
  • Budget & Timeline Management: Develop and manage program budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation across all program elements.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Provide post-program analysis and reporting to clients, highlighting outcomes, insights, and recommendations for future initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs across live and virtual formats.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in pharmaceutical communications.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, ON24, Webex) and event technologies.
  • Ability to travel as needed for live event execution.

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or similar project management certification.
  • Familiarity with medical education, clinical trial communications, or HCP engagement strategies.
  • Experience working in an agency or consultancy setting.
