PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST – Registered Nurse

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with a keen eye for detail, capable of analyzing care events, identifying potential quality issues, and driving performance improvement. They should possess strong skills in performance measurement and process optimization, as well as the ability to craft and present clear, concise, and well-structured reports, findings, and recommendations. Logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and deductive problem-solving are essential, along with the discipline to meet deadlines and follow structured workflows. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management is expected—or must be achieved within six months of hire.

As a key member of the Quality Management team, this individual will lead and support peer review and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring they operate at the highest level of effectiveness. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care quality and organizational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience; prior Quality Management experience preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to use industry-standard tools to develop and present initiatives
• Familiarity with Just Culture principles and terminology
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and working with diverse statistical databases
• Comfortable navigating the EPIC electronic medical record system for investigative purposes
• Ability to acquire working knowledge of the MIDAS system within six months of hire (training provided)
• Active New York State RN license required
• Willingness to learn and apply the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) improvement methodology within six months of hire

Location: 55 Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $137,000.00

For positions that have only a rate listed, the rate displayed is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education, or other relevant factors.
