Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with physical, developmental, or cognitive challenges
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Recommend and implement assistive technology and accommodations
- Educate and support staff and families on strategies to enhance student independence and participation
- Maintain thorough documentation of therapy sessions, goals, and student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based therapy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting student growth and success in a school setting
