Job Title: Ophthalmic Scribe
Job Description
Seeking two dedicated Ophthalmic Scribes to support various clinics in San Antonio. The role involves floating to different clinics within the city and occasionally traveling with the team from Spurs Lane when required to support clinics outside city limits. Travel time will be compensated at the regular hourly rate.
Responsibilities
+ Document physician visits in the EMR system accurately and efficiently.
+ Assist with scribing duties during patient consultations.
+ Operate and assist with medical instruments as directed by the physician.
+ Conduct patient work-ups after doctor visits.
+ Communicate effectively with patients about procedures and treatments.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in medical assisting and medical terminology.
+ Experience with patient care and EMR systems.
+ Competence in medical documentation and data entry.
+ Typing skills and knowledge in ophthalmology and healthcare.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a life science.
+ Experience working with 30+ patients per day.
+ Preferred experience in ophthalmology.
+ Bilingual skills are a nice-to-have.
+ On-site scribing experience, preferably at least 6 months.
+ Hands-on patient care experience is highly preferred.
+ Strong multi-tasking abilities and driven personality.
Work Environment
Candidates must be comfortable supporting multiple clinics in San Antonio with flexible scheduling, as there are no set days. The workweek is Monday through Friday, with variable start times from 6am to 6:30pm, depending on patient volume and travel days. The environment is extremely fast-paced, with an expectation to see 80-100 patients a day. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
