Vaco is hiring for a
Maintenance Technician
Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $25-$34/hour Overview:
Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support for building equipment and production lines.
Will also operate and maintain stationary equipment throughout the facility, such as Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Motors and the Waste Treatment Room.
Duties - Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative
- maintenance on building and production equipment.
- Overhaul and install new equipment.
- Rebuild and fabricate parts.
- Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area.
- Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory.
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
- Perform equipment change-overs and production line set ups.
Requirements - High school diploma or GED required.
- Stationary Engineer License for the city of Chicago (HIGHLY preferred)
- Food industry experience is highly preferred
- 2 years of High and Low Pressure Boiler experience required.
- Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred.
- Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment a plus.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and schematics.
- Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge a plus.

Desired Skills and Experience High school diploma or GED required.
