Job Description
Location: Queens, NY/ONSITE
NIGHT SHIFT
The Manager of Housekeeping plans, organizes, and controls the activities of the EVS department under the guidelines of the Director. Supervises and coordinates the Environmental Services Department in order to maintain the facility in a clean and orderly condition.
- Plan, organize, and control the activities of the EVS department
- Ensure supplies are available for staff to complete their assignments daily
- Monitor employee time and attendance
- Validate and document terminal cleaning regularly
- Complete Bed Report each morning and effectively communicate bed availability and room readiness
- Adjust staffing patterns in accordance with Hospital census
- Monitor linen distribution on the units adjusting delivery counts in accordance with Hospital census
- Monitor work performance and prepare reviews and/or evaluation for assigned personnel
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study required, Master's preferred
- Knowledge of all environmental services procedures, applicable laws, and government regulations
- Previous Environmental Services managerial experience
- Able to work weekends occasionally as required
