Job Title: Lab Technician/R&D Technician

Location: Valhalla, New York 10595

Duration: 12+ Months Contract/Possibility of extension

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM EST

Pay Rate : Negotiable

Responsibilities:

Description Of Job Duties & Required Skills:

• Capable of setting up benchtop, pilot plant experiments
• Capable of managing product inventories, product entries, purchase orders
• Support in pilot plant trials, product packing, shipping, labelling etc.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs
• Capable of working in the lab under GLP/GMP practices
• Accurate data entry, documentation, following the procedures is a must
• Capable of interacting with other employees to independently identify and organize resources for conduct of experiments
• Available for travelling to manufacturing sites to support trials when required.
• Capable of engaging with suppliers in discussions associated with ingredient purchasing, and follow ups.

Required Skills:

• Science degree. Experience in conducting experiments in science.
• Excel/Word/MS Outlook - Microsoft product proficient
• Good communication skills – oral and written (e.g. communication on telephone and internal to PepsiCo)
• Good organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Works well in a team setting, working with QA/R&D work team on other aspects of project
• Self-motivated and with initiative
• Diligent and perseverant
