Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the planning, coordination, and execution of various events, ranging from corporate conferences to community outreach programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event management and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of events from start to finish.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and transportation.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and materials.
  • Help create event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure all aspects run smoothly.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination, even if on a volunteer basis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
