About the Role

This Estimator will lead the full estimating scope of infrastructure projects including PennDOT/NJDOT. Responsible for negotiating the pricing & changes in scope/scale of work, meeting with current customers/vendors, and obtaining new clients. Proficiency in HCSS Heavybid or a similar estimating software is ideal. Experience with bridges/structures required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full estimating scope of infrastructure projects including PennDOT/NJDOT.
• Negotiate pricing & changes in scope/scale of work.
• Meet with current customers/vendors and obtain new clients.
• Utilize HCSS Heavybid or similar estimating software.
• Work on projects involving bridges/structures.

Qualifications

• Background in Heavy/Highway work, with an emphasis on bridge structures.
• Estimator or Senior Estimator, open to candidates with 2+ years of bridge estimating experience for Estimator and 7+ years for Senior Estimator
• Knowledge and experience with bidding for public entities; some entity examples are: PennDOT, PA Turnpike, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, the DRPA, and DelDOT.

Required Skills

• Experienced with HCSS Heavy bid estimating software.
• Other software experience that is a plus: Vista/Viewpoint, Bluebeam, AGTEK, CAD, Primavera or ASTA.
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with job visits for projects; frequency may vary from 1x per month to 1-2x per week, depending on size and scope of the project.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary $110k-$130k (Estimator), $125k-$160k (Senior Estimator)— (don’t let the $ deter you!) Additional benefits including Bonus, 401K and Healthcare
