Project Safety Manager
The project safety manager shall possess a bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety plus three years of full time construction safety management experience, or a board-certified safety credential from a nationally-recognized organization (for example, CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST) and five years of full-time construction safety management experience, or a current OSHA 500 certification and six years of full-time construction safety management experience. Outside of normal working hours, the Contractor may backfill this role with a Project Safety Representative, who shall have no other assigned duties while serving in the Project Safety Manager position. Subcontractors shall also supply a dedicated Project Safety Manager when their onsite workforce reaches 40 or more personnel. A dedicated Project Safety Manager may be required for subcontractors with poor safety performance at subcontractor’s sole cost and no additional cost to the project. Amazon and the Contractor reserve the right, but not the obligation, to interview the Project Safety Representative and/or Project Safety Manager and request that you replace any safety representative at any time during the project. A resume and detailed job description that outlines the responsibilities and authority for the Contractor’s Project Safety Representative and/or Project Safety Manager shall be made available to Amazon prior to contract award. The Contractor’s Project Safety Manager cannot be changed without written consent from Amazon. Amazon reserves the right, but not the obligation, to add job responsibilities and related deliverable requirements to the Project Safety Representative(s) and Project Safety Manager.
