ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER - CHICAGO, IL

Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm representing top-tier electrical and general contractors. We have been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for an Electrical Project Manager in Chicago, Illinois .

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $90,000 – $110,000

Experience Preferred

• Hospitals, wastewater treatment plants, and airports
• Background as an Estimator or Project Engineer
• Field experience is a strong plus

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full electrical construction scope from preconstruction through close-out
• Interface with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and aligned with design specifications
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to produce layouts and materials lists
• Manage all financial aspects including budgets, buyouts, billing, and change orders
• Approve transactions, subcontractor requisitions, material purchases, etc.
• Maintain project documentation and logs
• Contribute to value engineering, project accounting, and BIM coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
• 2–4 years of electrical project management experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera), and BIM/CAD tools
• Union or non-union backgrounds welcome
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred but not required: PMP Certification
