Director of Quality Summary:

• Director of Quality oversees the Quality Program, including regulatory compliant operations and the effectiveness of the quality assessment and performance improvement for all hospitals in their region.
• Works closely with other regional Quality Directors to ensure organization-wide sharing, deployment and alignment of best practice processes to drive, achieve and sustain clinical excellence goals across the health system.
• Collaborates with physicians and all levels of leadership to develop and sustain a robust clinical documentation improvement program and medical record integrity across regional areas of responsibility.
• Provides leadership and guidance to managers, assisting with identification of any patterns or trends, or significant opportunities for improvement.
• Oversight of continued regulatory readiness activities and collaborates with system VP Clinical Excellence to coordinate and align medical staff peer review activities.
• Manages the regional operational, budgetary and financial responsibilities and activities.
• Evaluates performance and professional development of direct reports, and holds self and team accountable for the development and achievement of measurable performance goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• 5 years of clinical experience in acute care setting AND
• 2 years quality or performance improvement related activity AND
• 4 years in management.

Required Education:

• Required: Bachelors Degree
• Preferred: Master's Degree - Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration

Required Certification:

• Required: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) (within 1 year)
• Preferred: Registered Nurse

This position will oversee the following hospitals:

• BayCare Wesley Chapel Hospital
• St. Joseph's Hospital Main
• St. Joseph's Hospital Women's & Children's
• St. Jospeh's Hospital North
• St. Joseph's Hospital South
