Role Description

We are hiring a Director of Product Engineering to lead our technical footwear product development. The Director of Product Engineering will be a key member of our product development team, focusing on shoe last creation and fit optimization with a data centric, digital-first approach. This role is for the person who wants to be at the cutting edge of footwear engineering. We place enormous value on technical product engineering, and the role comes with top-tier compensation.

The ideal candidate is a leader capable and driven to take full ownership of the digital last making and technical pattern confirmation processes.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain an Organized Digital Last Library
• Maintain Last Measurements and Comparisons Files
• Return & Exchange (R&E) data and last measurements Analysis
• Continuously evaluate the R&E data and last measurements to determine if a last should be changed and how it should be changed to optimize R&E
• Lead the last development workflow 
• Launch the new last for wear testing and production
• Maintain a Library of our technical footwear patterns
• Lead the Digital Patternmaking workflow, translating the “Digital Design Sample” to a “Digital Patterns for cutting”

Required Qualifications

• Software Technical Skills: MUST have advanced proficiency in one of the following software programs or equivalent software. 

Shoemaster

LutraCAD

Romans CAD

iCad3D+

Rhino

AutodeskFusion 360

Blender

EasyLast3D

• Communications: MUST be able to speak and write fluently in English. 
• Organizational Skills: MUST be very organized and care deeply about maintaining accurate data and output libraries.
