Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial engines and associated systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, along with experience in industrial maintenance operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Duties .

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and calibration procedures to accurately troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers, and calibration tools to ensure system accuracy.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, vision inspection systems, and other automation components.
  • Calibrate sensors, control systems, and instrumentation to meet specified performance standards.
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving low voltage and high voltage systems using appropriate testing equipment.
  • Assist in training team members on new technologies such as Calypso software or advanced control systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience in industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics systems and their integration with engine operations.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial electrician tasks including wiring, troubleshooting control panels, and working with low/high voltage systems.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to read schematics accurately.
  • Background in maintenance practices within manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong safety awareness when working with high voltage or complex electrical systems.
