Job Title: CAD Designer/Drafter
Location: This position can be based at any of the following U.S. locations:
- Bellingham, WA
- Billings, MT
- Bismarck, ND
- Minneapolis, MN
- Spokane, WA
- Vancouver, WA
- Relocation assistance is available.
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (Hourly wage with overtime eligibility)
Job Summary:
An experienced CAD Designer/Drafter is needed to support projects across various industrial and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial/industrial drafting, a stable work history, and proficiency in Autodesk-based CAD systems. This role will provide technical support for all project phases, with a primary focus on detailed engineering and design.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead designers and engineers with drafting and design tasks using AutoCAD, Navisworks, Vault, and other Autodesk software.
- Develop detailed design drawings and models based on project specifications and field measurements.
- Conduct field verifications in existing facilities using traditional measuring techniques and/or 3D laser scanning technology.
- Utilize 3D modeling software and laser scans to generate design solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to company and client standards.
- Provide support in creating technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Design Drafting preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of highly relevant experience in commercial/industrial drafting.
Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Vault (Autodesk software suite).
- Experience with 3D design and modeling is strongly preferred.
- Revit experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel .
Certifications: Eligibility to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Worker Identification
Credential (TWIC) is required.
Other Requirements:
- Stable work history; candidates with frequent job changes will not be considered.
- Ability to travel to client sites, as required.
- Must meet drug and background check requirements.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
