Position Overview The VDC Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes in building projects. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure accurate modeling, effective collaboration, and successful project delivery, focusing on mechanical and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the VDC efforts on mechanical and HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to develop and implement accurate 3D models using Revit.
- Review and manage project documentation and plans to identify potential issues and propose solutions before construction begins.
- Facilitate regular meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines.
- Train and mentor team members on VDC processes and software applications, ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Analyze project data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements in the VDC workflow.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Lead in Virtual Design and Construction or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and other design software related to mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with construction processes and project management methodologies.
