Superintendent / Foreman - Traveling

Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to a growing, respected commercial construction firm and is looking for a Traveling Superintendent. Based out of Twin Cities or Des Moines and spending the next year in St. Louis (flexibility offered to come home as needed.)

Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Superintendent/Foreman with at least 5 years of experience managing on-site construction activities. This role is essential to ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to our high-quality standards. You’ll be the go-to person on-site, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and schedules while maintaining strong communication with project managers and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is progressing according to plans, specs, and schedule
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, materials deliveries, and inspections
• Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with all jobsite regulations
• Communicate regularly with project managers regarding progress, issues, and updates
• Ensure quality control and craftsmanship meet company and client expectations
• Troubleshoot problems on-site and provide practical, efficient solutions

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision or foreman role
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and safety protocols
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documents
• Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work
