Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Operations

Austin, TX - Onsite

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll be instrumental in keeping projects on track, on budget, and on schedule. Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading the estimating and purchasing process for various bid packages.
• Collaborating with Superintendents to develop and maintain the project schedule.
• Managing and processing Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders.
• Maintaining and updating project files, records, and documentation.
• Assisting with the procurement of building permits.
• Facilitating and documenting weekly project meetings.
• Providing critical field support to construction superintendents, ensuring quality and contract compliance.
• Interacting directly with owners and clients, and managing multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications:

We're looking for a self-starter with a strong background in construction, particularly with data center projects or similar critical facilities.

Required

• 5+ years of construction experience, with a focus on general contractor experience.
• 4-year college degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction project plans and specifications.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Proficiency in construction management/scheduling software, with a strong preference for Procore.
• Experience preparing and processing Method of Procedures (MOPs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
