Senior Graphic and Web Designer Location Durham, NC : Position Summary KBI Biopharma is in search of a highly skilled Senior Graphic and Web Designer who can take conceptual ideas and create visual representations, both in print and electronic media, bringing ideas to life with visual impact. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled with every step of the design process from concept to the final deliverable. A successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project. This position reports to the Associate Director, Corporate Communications. Responsibilities
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize for a wide range of materials that may include web landing pages, presentations, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials, including large scale graphics such as tradeshow booths
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality designs within an established brand identity
- Develop concepts and execute original content, determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that support business goals
- Obtain input from internal subject matter experts and leaders, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent KBI Biopharma appropriately
- Work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects with cross-functional teams, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload
- Examine existing processes, identifying flaws, and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
- Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video assets
- Manage relationships with external print vendors, photographers, videographers, web designers
- Create and maintain brand style guide (internal) and media kit (external)
- Play a key role in the potential rebranding of the company including but not limited to: company website redesign, signage, marketing collateral, facility branding, company Intranet
- Serve as creative director and brand ambassador
- Assist in creation and maintenance of online brand resource hub
- Prepare graphics for social media
- Edit internal recordings of company-wide meetings
Requirements - BA/BS/BFA in graphic design and/or 5-7 years of equivalent relevant experience in professional graphic design with a strong portfolio of work
- Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology field a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and HubSpot
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications - Working knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5
- Proficiency with photo-editing and video-editing software
- Experience in animation a plus

All candidates must provide a portfolio. Salary Range: $105,734 - $140,000 Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
