🔍 Job Title: Senior Data Quality Engineer – Cloud & BI Systems

📍 Location: Hybrid (Westfield Center, OH) | Remote EST/CST eligible

⏳ Duration: 12 months (Contract-to-Hire Option)

As part of our digital transformation, we’re modernizing our data platform—moving from Netezza to Snowflake—and we’re seeking an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer to be a critical part of this effort.

🚀 About the Role

Join our Agile Kanban Business Intelligence team and help lead the Data Platform Modernization (DPM) effort. You will be responsible for building and executing comprehensive data test strategies to ensure the accuracy, performance, and integrity of our modernized data warehouse and reporting platforms.

👤 Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10 + years of QA/Data Engineering experience with demonstrated leadership and mentorship
• Experience in P&C insurance or financial services environments
• Proven track record with data transformation QA in large-scale data migration or modernization efforts
• Fluent in Python, Pytest, SQL, and Power BI

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Python (2+ yrs) with Pytest
• SQL (intermediate/advanced)
• Data Build Tool (DBT) with Python integration
• Snowflake or other cloud DBs
• Power BI and Jira
• Proven experience with:
• Source-to-target data validation
• Building data test plans, cases, and automation
• ETL, data warehouse, and data mart testing
• Agile methodology (Kanban or Scrum)
• Solid understanding of:
• Relational databases
• Data modeling and medallion architecture
• UI and non-functional testing (performance, access/security)

⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Netezza
• Insurance domain knowledge (Policy, Claim, Adjustments)
• Experience with Excel, DB Visualizer, Cognos, or Tableau

🔁 Logistics

1. Hybrid work model preferred (Tue–Thu onsite in Westfield Center, OH)
2. Remote considered (EST/CST) with travel every 10 weeks for PI Planning
