Senior Architect - Aviation

Location: Alexandria, VA

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Architect with a strong background in aviation projects to join our Alexandria office. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and execution of airport facilities, ensuring projects meet both client expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design efforts for aviation projects from concept through construction administration.
• Manage project teams, including coordination with consultants and stakeholders.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
• Participate in business development activities, including client presentations and proposal preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensure preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years focused on aviation projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and airport design standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
