Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)– Community Health | Entry-Level Friendly | Marin County, CA

We are seeking a Full-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about health equity and committed to building long-term, trust-based relationships with underserved communities. New grads and early-career NPs with a deep commitment to social justice and healthcare access are highly encouraged to apply.

🔍 About the Role:

As an Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you’ll be a key part of an interdisciplinary team working to meet the physical, emotional, and social health needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or living in deep poverty. This position combines traditional outpatient care with occasional mobile/outreach-based services.

💼 Responsibilities:

• Serve as a psychiatric mental health provider for your own panel of patients
• Deliver whole-person care addressing acute, chronic, and preventive needs
• Occasionally provide care in street-based/mobile settings
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation (approx. 3–5 calls/week every other week)
• Collaborate with a trauma-informed, harm-reduction care team
• Support Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) programs (training provided)

🎓 Qualifications:

Required:

• Active (or eligible) California Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license
• DEA license & BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Passion for working with underserved populations
• Open to MAT training and integrated care models
• Empathy, flexibility, and a team-first approach
• Spanish-speaking ability (preferred but not required)

Preferred:

• Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities or individuals experiencing homelessness
• Knowledge of FQHC practices and Electronic Medical Records
• Interest in long-term community-based practice and advocacy

💸 Compensation & Perks:

• $130,000–$155,000/year
• Up to $50,000 in bonus incentives over three years
