Position Summary:

The Distribution Reliability Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives that improve the reliability and resiliency of the electric distribution system. The current project focus includes a comprehensive rebuild of aging distribution infrastructure at a trailer park community, where existing lines are over 60 years old. This role will lead the end-to-end project execution, ensuring upgraded systems meet modern reliability, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle of distribution reliability upgrades, including the targeted rework of aging infrastructure in a trailer park with 60-year-old distribution lines.
• Oversee all phases of the trailer park rebuild project—scoping, budgeting, permitting, construction coordination, and close-out.
• Analyze outage data and reliability performance metrics to identify root causes and guide targeted improvements.
• Coordinate with distribution planning, field operations, and customer service teams to ensure successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Manage regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEEE 1366, NERC, and state-specific reliability requirements.
• Develop capital project justifications and manage the budget, schedule, and resources for distribution rebuilds and upgrades.
• Prepare and present status reports, risk assessments, and performance outcomes to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Support ongoing reliability planning, grid modernization efforts, and emergency response coordination.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electric utility operations, distribution engineering, or reliability-focused roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, ideally involving legacy infrastructure replacement.
• Proficiency with outage management systems (OMS), GIS, asset management systems, and Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external contractors.
