Job Description

Job Title: Physical Security Project Manager

Location: Rosemead, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Wednesdays and Thursdays)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Contract Duration: 1.5 Years

Pay Rate - $40 - $45 per hour on W2

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree required

About the Role

The client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Physical Security Project Manager to independently manage a portfolio of physical security technology capital projects ranging from $10K to $1M. The role requires leadership in risk mitigation, vendor oversight, and cross-functional communication to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of physical security technology projects.
  • Review engineering and construction drawings to ensure alignment with security standards and project goals.
  • Lead project risk mitigation strategies and escalate issues to PMO leadership and stakeholders as needed.
  • Communicate daily with internal teams and vendors to coordinate scope, schedules, and field activities.
  • Prepare and present project status updates during recurring meetings.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including status reports, charters, and financial records.
  • Oversee vendor performance to ensure timely and compliant construction execution.
  • Support monthly financial reporting and variance analysis for all assigned projects.
  • Facilitate project team meetings and conduct field job walks to scope new initiatives.
  • Develop project schedules using Microsoft Project and maintain financial forecasts and outlooks.
  • Review and assess daily vendor work reports for progress and quality assurance.
  • Promote and enforce safety practices in compliance with OSHA standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in contract and vendor management.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong skills in reading and interpreting construction and MEP drawings.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budget tracking, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with OSHA safety regulations and standards.
  • Familiarity with physical security standards.
  • Ability to interpret electrical single-line and logic diagrams.
