About the Role

Pride Health is hiring experienced Pharmacy Technicians to support clinical pharmacy operations within a correctional health environment in East Elmhurst, NY . This position involves assisting licensed pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medication inventory while ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications accurately and efficiently.
• Rotate between various work areas, shifts, and assignments as needed to meet departmental demands.
• Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to designated areas.
• Maintain accurate drug inventory and ensure compliance with storage and handling requirements.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems.
• Follow all federal, state, and institutional regulations related to pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) .
• Ability to provide two forms of valid identification for site clearance.

Preferred:

• Pharmacy dispensing experience.
• Sterile processing or IV room experience.
