Job Summary: The Entry-Level Personal Lines Account Manager/CSR is responsible for providing essential support and service to individual clients regarding their personal insurance needs. This role focuses on assisting with policy inquiries, processing changes, and maintaining strong client relationships under the guidance of experienced team members. Key Responsibilities:

Client Service and Support:

  • Serve as a friendly and helpful point of contact for personal lines clients, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Assist clients with basic policy questions, coverage explanations, and general information.
  • Direct more complex inquiries or issues to appropriate senior team members or producers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction and foster positive relationships.

Policy Administration:

  • Process routine policy changes, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with gathering information for new business applications and policy renewals.
  • Prepare and issue basic insurance documents, such as proof of insurance cards and declarations pages.
  • Help maintain accurate client information and policy details within the agency management system.

Claims Assistance:

  • Guide clients through the initial steps of reporting a claim.
  • Provide basic information on the claims process and direct clients to the appropriate carrier contacts.
  • Follow up on claims status as needed, under supervision.

Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.
  • Assist with preparing client communications and marketing materials.
  • Support other team members and departments as needed to ensure smooth agency operations.

Learning and Development:

  • Actively participate in training sessions and learn about various personal lines insurance products (e.g., auto, home, renters, umbrella).
  • Work towards obtaining the necessary state insurance licenses.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of insurance terminology, processes, and industry best practices.
