Physician – Neurology Movement Disorders Specialist– Cooperstown, NY

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University is seeking a full-time Neurologist to build a Movement Disorders sub-specialized practice. Visa Sponsorship Available.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Join an established group of neurologists in an academic setting
  • Opportunity to develop a neurology specialty program
  • Anticipated mix of specialty and general neurology, with at least 50% of the time in Movement Disorders
  • Mostly in-person outpatient clinic with opportunity for some remote tele-neurology
  • Opportunity for academic appointment at Columbia University and teaching Bassett IM Residents & Columbia-Bassett Medical Students
  • Inpatient & Outpatient Tele-Neurology support from University of Rochester
  • Very limited call; 2-4 days per month
  • Full spectrum case mix and diverse patient population
  • EMR-EPIC
  • Salary Range: $240,000 - $340,000 . This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
  • Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
  • Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

Job Qualifications

  • MD, DO or MBBS
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • New York State licensure
  • BLS certification required
  • Required stroke experience, reading EEG and/or performing EMG desirable
  • DEA Required
