Russell Tobin Scientific is seeking a Lab Technician II for a medical device manufacturer.

Job Title: Lab Technician II

Location: Columbia, MO (on-site)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 6-Months

Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day

Pay Rate: $22 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
• Worker performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products.
• Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
• Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required.
• Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred.
• Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.
• Routine testing for Finished Product, In-process and Incoming raw material testing with minimal supervision (Testing might include sampling and handling samples up to 20 lbs.)
• Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment and maintain accurate documentation of testing performed
• Data entry of results obtained.
• Preparation of buffers / solutions / standards for testing
• Lab cleaning and environmental monitoring

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND 1 year of laboratory experience in a private, public, government or military environment related to Chemistry.
• Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience with Gas Chromatography, HPLC, and UPLC testing. Experience with titration testing.
