About the Role

As Informatics Manager , you will be critical in optimizing Avow’s clinical systems and data infrastructure. You’ll bridge clinical operations and technology, ensuring that systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to support efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient care.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organization’s “Super User” for clinical electronic documentation, leading planning, implementation, and performance monitoring.
  • Optimize clinical systems by analyzing workflows and creating cost-effective, time-saving solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and leadership to develop and implement policies ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and provide training programs, orientation sessions, and educational materials to help staff maximize their use of informatics systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integrity, system speed, and user productivity while driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop custom reports, forms, and tools tailored to the needs of clinical teams and patient care services.
  • Partner with technical support teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless system performance.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives that enhance care quality and documentation compliance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in health informatics, nursing, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in health informatics preferred.
  • Experience: Four to ten years of experience in hospice/healthcare management and software systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Active Florida RN license; Informatics certification (ANCC RN-BC or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs), database software, O365 (including Excel), and Tableau.
  • **Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB), Wellsky, or Athena required**
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data flows, troubleshoot systems, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including collaborating effectively with clinical staff and leadership.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with HIPAA and other legal standards governing healthcare data.
