PrideNow is hiring a General Mechanical / Maintenance Technician to join our team located in Danbury, CT!
Position: General Mechanical / Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5-Day Schedule)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay Range: $66K-$92K/year (Based on experience)
This job involves Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 700 pounds using physical and mechanical means.
What You’ll Do:
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems: chilled water, steam, gas, sewage, drainage, etc.
• Operate plumbing tools: reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, etc.
• Assist with installing/repairing hot & cold-water lines, valves, traps, heating systems, and backflow devices.
• Operate machine tools and possibly heavy machinery like forklifts.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems.
• Maintain equipment, ensure safety compliance, and follow GMPs and BRI environmental/safety policies.
• Stay current with new technology and equipment.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of directly related experience OR a directly related higher degree from an accredited institution or technical certification/license in plumbing.
• HVAC maintenance knowledge.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, boilers, heaters, and plumbing components.
• Skilled in installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of all plumbing systems.
• Able to use and maintain engineering tools and systems.
• Familiar with equipment logs, inventory control, and reading technical manuals.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and technical report writing.
