The Judge Group is seeking a Logistics / Fleet Manager for our client in their New Orleans (or Baton Rouge, LA) area operations. The qualified individual will have 5+ years managing a team of drivers and dispatchers in construction, demolition, Waste Hauling setting or other heavy industry.
COMPENSATION: $135k to 150k plus bonus (Relocation offered to the right candidate)
MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline
MUST HAVE: 5+ years managing a team of drivers and dispatchers
MUST HAVE: P&L experience (Rent, Lease, Buy trucks)
MUST HAVE: Multi-site logistics experience
MUST LIVE: New Orleans, LA or Baton Rouge, LA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee transportation across the Southeast
- Manage P&L responsibility
- Creating efficiencies and drive cost savings
- Adhere to local, state and federal regulations
- Manage expenses
- Drive the safety culture
- Oversee 30 drivers, 5 dispatchers and outside contractors
- Maintain staffing levels
- Manage dispatching, routing and tracking of all assets
- Maintain relationships with 3PL trucking contractors and specialized haulers
- Oversee the fleet maintenance program
- Report to senior leadership on P&L
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline
- 5+ years managing a team of drivers and dispatchers
- P&L experience (Rent, Lease, Buy trucks)
- Routing experience
- Multi-site logistics experience
