Job Description

Field Service Engineer – Varian Linear Accelerator Experience Required!

We understand the urgent nature of the services we provide. That’s why our engineers must receive rapid, confident support from a team that stands behind them. Management is fully committed to investing in the tools, resources, and people needed to uphold service excellence.

  • Request and receive parts
  • Resolve the machine issue
  • Confirm resolution with the client

Everything we do is aligned with reducing MTTR and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Scope of Duties:

Your role is vital in building long-term trust with our clients, beginning from day one with significant investment in your technical and professional growth.

  • Deliver technical support to clients, ensuring operational continuity and patient safety.
  • Serve as a primary technical contact for clients, handling service-related concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Generate reports to track product failure trends and improve serviceability.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone/remote support to customers and fellow Field Service Engineers.
  • Maintain and manage spare parts inventory for assigned clients, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Document detailed service reports within Salesforce (or equivalent), recording issues, actions taken, and parts used.
  • Stay current with technical documentation and manufacturer updates related to Varian equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a high level of professional knowledge.

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Varian Linear Accelerator experience
  • Expertise in electronic/electro-mechanical engineering and testing/calibration of electronic equipment.
  • Proficiency with PC-based systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong client focus and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and local language (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience identifying and resolving routine software/network issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair moderately complex mechanical and vacuum system problems.
  • Familiarity with imaging system diagnostics.

Certifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of the RSA training plan during onboarding or annual review process.
  • Full access to Varian Medical Systems (VMS) client sites required; must meet all necessary Vendor Credentialing requirements and maintain compliance throughout employment.

Business Tools Experience:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email systems, and ERP platforms such as Salesforce.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and driving up to 8 hours per day.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small components.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including non-standard shifts, to meet client needs.
