Job Title: Explosion Protection Service Technician (Entry Level will train)

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Lehigh Valley PA

Compensation: $55k-$65k/yr + On-Call Pay

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a well-established, regional provider of industrial safety and fire protection systems in their search for an Explosion Protection Service Technician to support service operations across domestic client sites.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and at least 1–2 years of experience in a field service or industrial equipment support role. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing explosion protection systems at customer locations across the U.S.

Project Type:

Explosion protection system service, repair, and preventative maintenance across industrial and manufacturing sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance, system validation, and repairs on explosion protection systems.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting using specialized tools and software.
• Work at various heights using ladders, scaffolding, or aerial lifts, in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Prepare detailed and accurate service reports, including equipment condition and repair recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with technical support teams and customers regarding service needs.
• Submit timely monthly reports for inventory, vehicle inspections, and expenses.
• Evaluate customer sites for system upgrades or additional services.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule shared among all technicians.
• Maintain required certifications and a professional appearance.
• Ensure the assigned service vehicle is clean, well-stocked, and maintained.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and driving record evaluation.
• Willingness to travel overnight and support after-hours/weekend calls as needed.

Preferred:

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Field service experience with industrial equipment.
• Basic understanding of low-voltage electrical systems and mechanics.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and design layouts.
• Competency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
