Enterprise Architect in AI

Position Overview We are seeking an Enterprise Architect with hands-on software engineering background and AI knowledge to define our enterprise-wide AI architecture strategy. This role is 80% enterprise architecture focused on designing scalable, composable systems that integrate AI capabilities across our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise AI architecture blueprint, standards, and governance frameworks
• Design composable commerce architectures with integrated AI capabilities
• Establish MACH-compliant reference architectures
• Guide build vs. buy vs. partner decisions for AI platforms
• Lead architecture review board for AI initiatives
• Create integration patterns for AI services with existing enterprise systems
• Develop data architecture supporting AI readiness

Required Technical Skills

Enterprise Architecture

• TOGAF or similar EA frameworks
• MACH Architecture : Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless
• Composable Commerce : Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs)
• Integration Patterns : API Gateway, service mesh, event-driven
• Data Architecture : Data mesh, data fabric, governance

Software Engineering Background (Required)

• 10+ years hands-on development experience
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript (recent hands-on required)
• Spring Boot, FastAPI, React/Next.js
• Microservices, containerization, CI/CD

AI Knowledge & Integration

• AI architecture patterns: LLM integration, RAG systems
• AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenAI APIs
• Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot usage experience
• AI governance and responsible AI frameworks
• Understanding of emerging AI trends

eCommerce & Cloud

• Commerce platforms: Salesforce CC, commercetools
• Headless commerce architectures
• AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Cost optimization for AI workloads

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years enterprise/solution architecture
• Software engineering background with code review ability
• Enterprise-scale implementations
• eCommerce architecture experience preferred
• Stakeholder management across business and technical teams
