Mission:

As an Electrical Drafter at A-C Electric Company, your mission is to deliver precise, high-quality construction and electrical design documentation that supports both fabrication and installation for the project teams. You are a vital link in transforming virtual construction and prefabrication visions into buildable reality—driven by collaboration, accuracy, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and Revise CAD Drawings – Develop detailed electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD in alignment with engineering standards and project scopes.
• Collaborate with Project Teams – Work closely with Preconstruction team, project managers, engineers, field supervisors, and estimators to ensure design intent, and timely updates are maintained.
• Maintain Drawing Accuracy and Standards – Ensure all drawings follow company CAD standards, layer naming conventions, title blocks, and proper scale requirements.
• Version Control and Document Management – Organize and maintain drawing sets, revision logs, and drawing repositories for current and archived projects using established document control systems.
• Support Field and Prefab Teams – Provide accurate, coordinated drawings to support prefabrication, installation, and as-built documentation processes.

Additional Job Duties

• Conduct drawing takeoffs for fabrication or procurement support.
• Participate in constructability reviews and QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate drawing content with field redlines or RFI responses.
• Create visual diagrams or site logistics layouts for presentations.
• Help maintain project drawing archives in Procore, other systems.
• Support new employee training on CAD standards and workflows.
• Assist in developing CAD templates, symbols, and block libraries.
• Trimble Point Layouts-including creation, validation, uploading for field teams.
• Trimble Point CAD dimensioned drawings for field teams.
• 3D Scanning-performing the scans and stitching of multiple scans for electrical design.
• 3D Modeling-Conduit systems and prefabricated assemblies

Requirements:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field — or a combination of education and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in CAD drafting or electrical design.
• 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably in electrical, construction, or MEP industries
• Proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other industry-standard CAD software
• Familiarity with construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Knowledge and Experience in Bluebeam, Procore, Adobe and MS Suite

Pay range: Pay Range: $25.00-$38.00 . Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
