Job Description

The Digital Communications & Graphics Coordinator supports the work of the Marketing Creative Specialist and executives on projects aimed at maximizing company profits and developing sales strategies or marketing campaigns. The DCGC will work closely with team members in other functions, such as marketing, development, and events to support Sky High’s brand growth across the globe. Enhancing the organizations’ online presence and visual identity. The purpose of the DCGC role is to focus on creating Sky High’s digital communications such as social media, newsletters and assist with graphic design among other things related to marketing & communications. The Digital Communications and Graphics Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Creative Specialist.

This person will be officed at 9800 Richmond Ave. Suite 335, Houston, TX 77042

OFFICE HOURS : 8:30am-4:30pm Monday – Thursday

Fridays: Monitor emails and urgent requests.

DRESS CODE: Business attire Monday – Wednesday. Thursday, Business casual.

(Event weeks: Appropriate fitness attire & tennis shoes are permitted & encouraged)

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position may require evening and weekend work for events or campaigns. The Digital Communications and Graphics Coordinator will work closely with various departments to support organizational goals.

If the employee elects to resign from the position, he or she may do so at any time but must provide a minimum of two weeks’ notice to the CEO of the organization.

Essentials and job responsibilities

· Collaborate with other team members to support fundraising events, campaigns and community outreach efforts. Suggest innovative ideas in weekly team meetings and brainstorming sessions

· Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and awareness of our nonprofit’s initiatives.

· Assist in developing storytelling content that highlights the impact of the organization’s work and engages supporters.

· Create, curate and schedule content across all social media platforms.

· Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers.

· Track and analyze digital communications and social media performance metrics.

· Prepare reports to elevate effectiveness of digital campaigns and recommend improvements.

· Graphic Design: Design visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, fundraising campaigns, and promotional materials.

· Support and assist the Creative Specialist with collaborating with team members to create cohesive visual branding.

· Work with marketing team to manage brand initiatives and execute strategy

· Aid organization and execution of different events (e.g., hospital visits, donor events, brand partner events, etc.)

· Attend company regional events across but not limited to Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma

Job Requirements

· Operating vehicle that is always available for use during business hours, after hours meetings & event & team retreat travel.

Valid Driver’s License

· Valid vehicle insurance

· You consent to the use and reproduction of photographs, films, videotapes, interviews, and information about you/your child taken by and for Sky High and/or its agents or persons authorized by them for use in news stories, publicity, promotion, public awareness, and fundraising. You also agree that such uses may include internet posting or other publication in other media by celebrities and corporate supporters. You will not receive payment for any such use.

· Candidates must be physically able to perform duties including frequent lifting to 25 pounds, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, typing, prolonged standing or sitting.

Qualifications

· BS/BA in public relations and/or marketing, graphic design, communications, or relevant fields

· Minimum two years relevant experience (internships included)

· Proven experience in social media management and graphic design preferably in a nonprofit setting

· Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment

· Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Canva, Photoshop) a plus

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail

· Excellent time management skills working in a fast-paced environment

· High level of organization and attention to detail

· Digital photography and video editing experience

Special Job Characteristics

· The DCGC must be able to deliver the roles and responsibilities consistently in a fast-paced, demanding environment, where accuracy, attention to detail, and responsiveness are key to the success of the organization.

· The DCGC must exhibit flexibility and be able to work in an environment that may require irregular working hours to support after-hours meetings and all designated Sky High events.

· The DCGC must respond timely to emails. If on vacation, an out-of-the-office reply must be sent and directed to the office Admin or direct manager.
