David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

Role :

We’re looking for a sharp, culturally fluent Creative Strategist to join our lean, high-output creative team. Based in our NYC office Monday through Friday, you’ll report directly to the Creative Director and work closely with our graphic designer, growth team, and social/content team.

This role sits at the intersection of brand and performance. You’ll be responsible for developing and communicating high-level creative strategy that informs everything from branded campaigns to UGC-style performance ads and lo-fi ad content. You’ll bring creative clarity and vision across channels—translating brand identity into content that resonates with culture and converts with precision.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop strategic creative briefs that fuel campaigns, product launches, and always-on brand storytelling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the paid ads, social, and creative teams to develop and guide creative direction for paid ads, UGC, influencer content, and organic content output.
  • Own the creative strategy for lo-fi and UGC-style ad content, ensuring it aligns with brand tone and performance goals.
  • Create frameworks and reference decks for content creators and editors, providing clear art direction, tone, and messaging guidance for each concept.
  • Identify storytelling formats, hooks, and visual trends that perform well on TikTok, Reels, and Meta ads, and implement these insights into ongoing content strategies.
  • Identify key creative testing opportunities and brief in assets that align with testing goal.
  • Translate performance data and testing learnings into content improvements and iterate on winning directions.
  • Conduct brand audits and trend reports to identify cultural whitespace and competitor strategies.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director and graphic designer to ensure consistency across channels while leaving space for experimentation on social.

What you’ll bring :

  • 3+ years in a creative strategy or content strategy role, preferably in-house at a high-growth CPG, beauty, or lifestyle brand—or at an agency working with similar clients.
  • Proven ability to concept and guide high-performing UGC, paid social, and influencer content with measurable impact.
  • A portfolio of paid/UGC content strategies you’ve led or contributed to.
  • Deep knowledge of the evolving social and UGC landscape, including platform nuances (TikTok, Meta, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).
  • Sharp instincts for culture, digital behavior, and content consumption—what’s trending, what’s tired, and what’s next.
  • A pulse on up-and-coming creators, visual trends, and platform shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate creative strategy clearly to internal teams, creators, and collaborators.
  • A balance of data-driven thinking and brand-first storytelling; you know how to make performance content feel premium and on-brand.

Practicalities :

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together. 
  • Salary: $100K - $130K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
