Estimator – General Contractor (Tampa, FL)

📍 Location: Tampa, FL

💰 Salary: $95,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)

🖥 Software Experience Required: Timberline Estimating

Join a dynamic and reputable General Contractor based in Tampa, FL, known for delivering high-quality ground-up construction projects across a range of sectors, including multi-family, healthcare, education, office, and warehouse developments . We are actively seeking a talented Estimator to play a pivotal role in our growing preconstruction team.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare accurate conceptual and hard bid estimates for a variety of ground-up construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Utilize Timberline Estimating Software to create detailed takeoffs and proposals.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, track market trends, and provide value engineering recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong background in projects including multi-family housing, healthcare facilities, educational buildings, and industrial/office spaces .
• Proficient in Timberline Estimating Software (required).
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices.
